Max mem: 44.00 Mb. --><\/div>\n<p>Zondag 13 september 2009 stond er voor Elsjes MC weer een offici\u00eble toertocht op het programma. In 2009 was het precies 200 jaar geleden dat Napoleon op bezoek was in Midden Brabant en daar \u201cen passant\u201d wat stadsrechten uitdeelde aan het dorpje Tilburg.<br \/>\nDank zij dit bezoek aan Tilburg 200 jaar geleden stond Tilburg vol van de activiteiten waarvan de Napoleon fietstocht er een was. Gedurende de fietstocht hebben we ons voortdurend afgevraagd wat de link is tussen deze fietstocht en Napoleon. Los van enkele kastelen en grote huizen die we tegenkwamen moet het de eer zijn om te fietsen in de voetsporen van deze beroemde op Corsica geboren Keizer.<br \/>\nElsjes MC had ervoor gekozen om alleen vertegenwoordigd te zijn met de aan de Burgemeester Vogelslaan wonende leden. Deze leden meldden zich om 9:00 uur bij Boerke Mutsaers in Tilburg waarvandaan een route van 130 of 70 kilometer was uitgezet. Vol overmoed hebben we ons ingeschreven voor de 70 kilometer.<br \/>\nDe route was goed aangegeven en via veel onbekende wegen kwamen we in De Moer. Alhoewel ons dat geen bout kon schelen volgde even later de Vaart waar de vaart er pas echt goed in zat. Daarna gingen we nog een eind naar het oosten om in Oosteind uit te komen. Uiteindelijk naar Oosterhout waar we (achteraf) te weten kwamen dat de keizer ook stadsrechten heeft uitgedeeld. Hij was toch in de buurt en gelukkig is hij bij Tilburg linksaf geslagen anders had hij Haaren ook nog stadsrechten gegeven. Afstempelen in een caf\u00e9 in Terheijden waar de barman nog uiterste pogingen heeft ondernomen de pot van Elsjes MC te confisqueren. Na Terheijden kregen we Dorst en bij het einde van de bebouwde kom was Dorst weer over. Iedere tocht kent zijn hoogtepunt, een standbeeld in het midden van het dorp deed de fantasie van de kersverse winnaar van de zilveren geit op hol slaan. Het vergoedde veel van het fietsleed.<\/p>\n<p>Bij Bavel liep er een man op een weg parallel aan het fietspad te rennen. Dit verklaart nu eindelijk waarom dit een ventweg heet. Via boerenpaden, echte kasseien en langs HondenTrim salon Bee-Bob kwam Tilburg weer in beeld.<\/p>\n<p>Bij het zien van Tilburg zette Jurgen een enorme sprint in. Als een echte bankman rook hij de overwinningsbonus. In zijn euforie zag hij echter diverse routeaanduidingen over het hoofd en pas na telefonisch ingrijpen hebben we Jurgen weer op het recht pad gekregen. Een enorme menigte had zich verzameld bij de finish bij Boerke Mutsaers. Na de huldiging, medaille-uitreiking, persconferentie en de ereronde volgde nog een broodje Napoleon. Dit broodje gemalen kattenvlees lag er nog uit de tijd van Napoleon. Daarna snel terug naar Oisterwijk en gelukkig wonen we niet in Haaren want dat is nog veel verder. Ruim 95 kilometer op de klokken en een ervaring rijker.
